For over 20 years, The Brass Monkey has been St. Pete Beach’s go-to gathering place for great food, cold drinks, and unbeatable views of the Gulf of Mexico. But we’re more than just a restaurant—we’re a family, and we welcome you like one of our own.
Owners Kelly and Barry Streib met in Maryland, where they were both thriving in the restaurant and nightlife scene. Barry—known to many as “The Stallion” from his days as a TV and radio sports personality—brought his big energy and love for the game. Kelly brought the warmth, creativity, and community spirit that still defines The Brass Monkey today. Together, they found their dream location by the water and opened a Maryland-themed sports bar that has become a local favorite for beachgoers, sports fans, and snowbirds alike.

Their oldest son, Colton, is finishing up his film degree at USF but still finds time to wait tables and bring his signature charm to the floor.
Stoney, the youngest of the family, wears the title of General Manager with pride and purpose. From early mornings to late nights, he’s the heartbeat of the operation—keeping the kitchen running smoothly, the team motivated, and every detail dialed in to ensure guests get the quality and consistency The Brass Monkey is known for.
In the t-shirt shop you’ll meet Mikie (Kelly’s mom) often joined by her sister Jerry, while Aunt Jackie keeps things flowing by bussing tables and making sure the bar’s ice never runs dry.
From our signature crab cakes to sunset toasts, every visit is infused with love, laughter, and that unmistakable Maryland-meets-Florida charm. Whether you're a local or just passing through, there's always a seat for you at The Brass Monkey.
